This place is a disaster...there is trash all over the back of the storage and no one does anything about it. There is an encampment and people living by their dumpsters. This company does NOT take care of anything. It's disgusting. We have called police, city news, next is mayor!! I have to post a star rating to post this ugh -5 stars!!!

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT rent a storage unit from Otter in Albuquerque. I had a double unit on the second floor that was in there words "compromised". That's the understatement of the year, it looked like it was hit by a tornado and I had some valuable Hallmark Christmas ornaments stolen along with my father's golf clubs. The entire facility was hit with dozens of units broken into and the place was a mess. I don't feel safe going into the building any more with doorways and windows boarded up for months now. Otter bought a well functioning local unit/building and in a few months it turned in to a dirty trashed sight...only later to be vandalized by thieves not once but twice. At one point homeless folks had broken in and were living there. After being reassured they had secured the sight it was broken into a 2nd time and by report from another tenant, it was open for anyone to come in and rob the units. We had been tenants with the previous owner for over 10 years. Inspect carefully before using this company
otter self storage in Ocala, FL is terrible. no one is at the property. they rented us a locker with BIG slabs of granite left right by the door (it is NOT POSSIBLE to miss these slabs)... we can't use the whole locker as a result but they charge full price. they provided 0 solutions to get the granite removed that would not cost us $. their employee (the employee opened the locker) left the granite in there from whoever had the locker before. we were there at 0600 with a rented forklift to move material into the locker ...... read more

On the first day of my rental, I found that there was not an elevator / lift as website stated there would be. We wandered around the first floor and found several locked doors, so there might have been an elevator behind one of those doors. There is a very long set of stairs going up to the second floor, but there was no way I was going to carry large furniture and large appliances up those stairs. I've been a customer of otter storage for a year.i went to pay my bill today and they charged me a extra 80.0 when I made my payment in December I left them know that I'd be skipping Jan rent and pay for Jan /Feb rent on Feb 3. Well they added a auction fee,funny thing is I called them several times,email them several times,I just spoke to a girl there last week and she said everything is fine. They are thieves. When I arrived at Otter Self Storage for the first time, there was a lock on my unit that I had rented and paid for on line. Nobody works on site, so I had to call the number on the door, which connected me with someone off site. They told me they could not help me so they would refund the money. Here it is, August 29th, and I still do not have a refund. I have called them, emailed them, spoke to them - there is a $69.78 debit on 6/3, and never has that money been refunded to me.
