Phoenix at Self plus storage is great she is truly helpful and although the customer service here is great , I have however noticed that there prices change too frequently opposed to other storage companies. This can be an inconvenience for customers and a pain if your considering staying, I myself am debating on whether I should even stay here after this lease due to the sudden increase in rent.
I have used this facility many times over the past 20 years. Lately it seems to have gone downhill. There is not a person there very often, when they are it's great. The automatic door has been broken the last two times, a light was out by my unit and the floors seemed to be dirty. It's like it operates by itself now. They used to have staff there like 6 days a week, offer a truck to move in (for free!). Now, the facility has really gone downhill, sad to say. I have been renting units at this storage facility for over 20 years. The upkeep of this facility is awful anymore. The lot had 2 inches of ice/snow from a storm 5 days previous. I don’t feel safe the majority of the time, especially when the security gates are in an open position with no control over who enters or exits. The price hikes yearly are out of control. It’s a convenient location but my husband and I will have to look at other storage companies.
The manager Phoenix is amazing. The facility on the other hand is awful. No climate control all summer. In fact, it was 105 degrees in the third floor several times. The elevators are broken more often than not. Power was out for 48 hours. It’s always something. I feel bad for the employees.
The Sentinel Storage in Churchville is a joke. They consistently have raised the rates meanwhile the gate is always broken and left up with no security as well as the entire place is ridden with mice. We emptied our storage unit the past 2 weeks and everything had mice droppings. I sent an authorized person to retrieve and item and received a nasty call stating I need to call for permission to send someone to my locker. Go somewhere else.
