This is my first time writing a negative review. I rented a unit at this facility for nearly three years and had a very disappointing experience. The facility is poorly maintained. Hallways are dirty, unit doors barely function, and the main gate was broken and left unfixed, leaving the property unsecured. There is often no on-site staff available, and it is extremely difficult to reach anyone when issues arise. Rent increases were excessive and poorly communicated. The process to purchase the unit was very easy and convenient. However, when I went to the unit, it was zip tied. I have been to the office and there is never anyone there and calling customer service doesn't give you a live person. I'm considering cancelling my unit and moving to a different location.
I never write reviews and especially as a business owner I know it’s impossible to please everyone. But this place is the worst. Spare yourself and don’t even think about renting here. They are all holy jolly ready to help when you want to rent a unit. But you want to cancel your unit? Forget it. You will never get in contact with anyone and they will keep charging you. Renter beware. Do not fall behind. They will not work with you, no matter what the circumstances may be. They will not entertain partial payments, they charge exorbitant amount of fees, rent is constantly increasing, and they have no sympathy or interest in helping long-term renters when they fall on hard times. Worse than terrible customer service. It has been impossible to get the access code to our newly assigned storage unit at the Mosby property in Chantilly VA. It was left blank on the introduction letter (see pic 1) sent after signing the contract. There is no staff on site as the office has been abandoned and there is a hand written note saying that you need to go to another satellite location for service.
