This facility is no longer Storage Wise because they were bought out by Self Plus Storage. I did not receive notification that they were changing (about 3 months after moving in). I have mice droppings in my unit and the price has substantially increased ever since the new ownership. I had great phone and email communication with the previous (Storage Wise) rep I believe her name was Barbara. However, had I known they would be changing over I would have chosen a different location.

I have rented over a dozen storage units in at least four states. Usually not much variation, but three things stood out with Storage Wise: The completely online set-up meant I didn’t have to be there during a weekday or rush down on a Saturday morning; my unit’s building looks like it is brand new, nowhere near the age of the facility; and the 24-hour access is just so much better than places that close at 9 or 10.

Storage Wise of Fredericksburg is a convenient location to store anything. There are different size of units available. There is also space to store RVs and boats. The area is secure but I miss not having someone on the premises during the day. Highly recommend

They’re unresponsive to issues with their units. I have a big sinkhole in the pavement in front of my unit and nothing has ever been done about it. This place has turned over multiple times since I started with them as Commonwealth. The rent just keeps going up. They’re very impersonal. No one on site to get help from. Find other units better than this place!

I called to get some information on renting at the facility...just ordinary questions about cost, access, pest control, etc. The manager answered the phone and immediately started yelling at me. When I tried to explain what I wanted to know, and she declared that I was rude for interrupting her. She shouted this over and over and over again without letting me clarify that I was not trying to offend her. She finally said that she would not rent to me because I was rude to interrupt her.
