This place was well priced . I was happy and they gave me the first month free . It's so expensive these days to move anything helps . Price was 249 a month

I first discovered A-1 Storage here on yelp about 8 months ago when I moved here and needed to put most of my stuff in storage. After reading the reviews, it was fun to meet "The Louis" in person... he really is a great guy! Super friendly and helpful. I was nervous about the prices being higher than some of the other storage facilities that I considered, but at the end of the day, the most important thing was that I felt like my stuff would be safe here (unlikely to get stolen or damaged) and it was convenient to access.... read more

If you're looking for a great facility that has a friendly, professional and knowledgable staff such as LEANNA, this is the place for you. Every time we have gone in to inquire about our options and pricing, she has been very helpful to address all of our concerns/ questions. This is my very first review and I specifically set up the profile to acknowledge her outstanding customer service.

This is the cleanest place ever! Terri and Louis are extremely friendly and very helpful as well. With all the moving materials , trash, and bumped walls it's a pristine place.

Every time I come into the A-1 Bascom Storage store I am always greeted by great people at the desk. Terrie, Louis, and Leanne all have great attitudes and are always willing to help.

Great Place, very safe and clean. The staff is always very nice and always willing to assist. I use this unit for work supplies and I highly recommend this facility

Both Luis and Terry (S Bascom) have always gone above and buying to help me and anyone else I have seen come in looking for secure storage for their personal belongings. I have been an A-1 customer for over 20yrs. I have been to other storage locations I believe the S Bascom location is the best I have experienced.

Beware of deceptive pricing and unprofessional customer service! I moved to San Jose in February 2025 and chose A-1 Storage based on what appeared to be a fair $75/month rate after providing proof of insurance. I was told I'd receive a $14 credit on my next bill. Instead, in March, I was charged a $14 "Customer Protection Plan" fee. When I flagged it, the manager (Luis) falsely claimed I hadn't submitted insurance--even though I had. We have rented here for last 6+ years. Always been happy with clean facilities and good customer service. Lately, there have been no trolleys. I have gone up and down on every floor with no success. One time, I found one on the other end of building. Next time, I walked to office and someone got 2 trolleys from other side. Today same thing.
