I love this storage facility, the extended hours are great for my schedule and the people, especially Barbara are really great! I love that the units are clean and climate controlled. I had an awesome experience renting the unit, it could not have been easier. I would recommend A-1 to anyone who needs short or long term storage!
Glad I chose to store my stuff at this location! The facility is brand new, so the unit is clean and nice, the elevators work well, and they provide carts to move your stuff from your vehicle to your unit - very convenient, and makes things go much faster! Also, the access hours are much more convenient than other places that are only open until about 6pm... this place is open 6am to 10pm every day! The staff also are friendly and very helpful! I've used A-1 Self Storage in the past and have recently relocated to the Mira Mesa area. I was very happy to see there is a new A-1 Self Storage in Mira Mesa actually down the street from my condo. My brother stopped by and spoke with leila who hooked him up with a unit that was clean, safe and had very easy access. The layout is very easy so you don't get lost in the building and it's easy to get around even when there are other tenants there. HOMELESS people galore around the premises. Homeless people raids the trash cans and just waiting for the place to close. Renters beware!!!!

Was not given access code nor was it online. Had to take my U-Haul to my home overnight which cost me time, effort, and money (about $100 after gas and mile fees from U-Haul company added up) as I couldn't access my unit and no one was available to give me the code until the next morning. I was offered a pathetic free lock as consolation instead of being comped 2 rental months to compensate me for the money I had lost due to their incompetence. After a lot of research, I gave my information and dates for storing my car. I was given decent pricing. I received two follow-up text messages and responded to the second one and called about the space and rates to confirm. Low and behold their rates were good for six days and they no longer had the space we addressed and the new rate was about 30% higher. I said this sounds like a bait and switch to me. I can understand that situations change, but after one week?

This is a very safe place for women who want store items here you will feel safe. The manager Alexis. Is very nice. We had a miscommunication and mis understanding between my husband and I and the managers at the place due to our learning challenges they gave us information and we processed it differently.. we have a hard time with our learning challenges its embarrassing sometimes to ask people to dumb down what the paper work says or what it means or ask them to explain it more in detail so we can understand it better.
