Clean and convenient location. Outstanding staff. Isaac and Edson are always very helpful and just super nice people. They make A-1 Self Storage look good.
Business response:
Great to hear, Alex! Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Great company - super helpful staff and clean/secure facilities. Small parking lot, but I managed to get a moving truck in there without too much difficulty. I've rented units with them twice now, and each time was a breeze. I recently rented a new apartment and so needed to move out my things, and they made it effortless to close out my unit. There was none of that "well, you need the unit for the first 2 days of this month, so we have to charge you for that entire month" crud - A1 cancelled my automatic bill payments, and ... read more

One of the highest compliments we can receive is to earn your repeat business! Thank you so much for sharing, Christine.
Excellent customer service! Matt Rose was extremely helpful and patient while I was trying to decide on what size unit to use. He helped me get through the paper work quickly and made sure all my questions were answered and that I had the best price possible.
Love this place, moving is never easy but these guys make it a lot less stressful. This my third time using this location and it's great. Always super clean and never too busy. I would highly recommend this place of you're looking for a clean place for your valued stuff!! Each unit is individually alarmed to too it off.
Business response:
It's great to hear we've earned your repeat business, Taylor! That's the ultimate compliment we can receive. Welcome back!
There are a few A-1 locations in San Diego county and I am very happy I chose this one. Highly recommended. When my business expanded and I needed a little extra storage I reached out to a few storage facilities but didn't quite get the personal touch from the other as I did here. Ken and Steve are very professional, helpful and made me feel very safe in person and with my belongings. They will even accept a package from time to time if I am out of town for business (which is quite often). Thank you A-1, Thank you Steve and ... read more

Thank you for sharing your experience, Jonah. I know that Steve and Ken try hard to provide the best service possible. I'll be sure to share your comments with them.
We visited several storage facilities when deciding where to store a wide variety of items. This location of A-1 was absolutely wonderful. In particular, Ken Dacosta was incredibly helpful and accommodating, showing us a number of options and helping us make the right decision for our needs. Thanks to Ken and to the team!
Business response:
Great to hear, Deirdre! I'll be sure to share your kind words with Ken.
There's only one bathroom and they lock it when the office closes! Pee BEFORE you come here!!! But overall, very nice staff, clean units, reasonable prices, and they usually have a deal running. BUUUUTTTTT.... They DO need more hand carts though. Stay away on Fridays and Sundays. This location has some "swap meet-ers" that tend to unload their units to sell and load again after the weekend. We made that mistake and they also hog the few carts around (one group of them unloading one truck into one unit had three carts!!!)
Business response:
Thank you for the feedback, Dana. We try really hard to make sure our carts are available when you need one. Please stop by the office if you ever run into a problem locating a cart. We'll be happy to track one down for you.
This is the second time I've had to use this storage unit in the last few months. Once to move a friend's stuff into and once for myself. The location itself sparkles and very accessible. Now for the service, Steve was amazing. A very welcoming character, which is refreshing because I've never rented a storage unit and was nervous to be on site (I've heard crazy thing about some storage units) and that I was going to be dooped into renting too much space. Steve was very through, informative and inviting. He helped me get the... read more

Great to hear about your experience, Sarah. I'll be sure to pass on your comments to Steve.
Great great great customer service here. I needed this unit for about a month while between apartment leases. I tried a couple other storage places prior to A-1 and was met with less-than-friendly attitudes and a lack of knowledge about their own properties. However as soon as I popped in to A-1 I was greeted with a smile and a warm "Hello!" from Steve, who has been insanely helpful this whole time. He showed me different rates and units and was able to fix me up with nice clean unit within 15 minutes. He showed me pretty mu... read more
