I've used many self-storage facilities around the country including several in San Diego. This is definitely has the friendliest, most accommodating and professional staff of them all. Check-in was fast. The accepted proof of insurance saving me the onerous extra charge, but what elevated them to the top of the list was their willingness to accept delivery and move into my unit a shipment I sent them from across country. All the personnel I dealt with at this location were great but Leo stands out as especially friendly and willing to help or answer any question. I would have no hesitation in using this storage location again if and when needed. After checking many places, prices at this location were competitive. The place is clean and very well kept. Thank you Leo and other staff.

This the best experience ever had storing furniture before moving. The facility is completely clean it's brand-new very high-security the people that work there are absolutely amazing and caring and get everything to make it perfect. they're all very experienced and professional and absolute pleasant. locations easy to get to there's a locked fence and elevator need to code for special locks and your stuff will be totally safe

I had to find a storage facility fast and A-1 Self Storage was my first stop and last stop. Upon arrival Leo and Jeffrey greeted me at the front desk. I briefly described my situation and the items I needed stored. They were able to answer all my questions quickly without hesitation and were very professional. Within a few minutes we found the perfect unit for my items , right next to an elevator basement level! Reserved a unit over a month in advance and then when I went to pay and get it set up they bumped up the price from what they quoted me. "Online" price was lower and they wouldn't even match that price because "[I] was already in the store". A storage unit that small costs $30 every where else I've lived and they wanted $90. Hell no. Employee I spoke to, I think it was Leo, was incredibly rude. He kept repeating that I was "not listening to his explanation" of why they wouldn't honor my quoted price, among other things. STILL WONDERFUL 3 YEARS LATER! See my review done in early 2014!! Here's the facts- IT IS STILL THE ONLY PLACE DESERVING 5 STARS Since renting here, I've had several visits to other storage facilities in this area. For comparison, None are as clean, safe, well- managed as A-1, so I want to extend a warm welcome to Leo and Jeffrey (see photo).
