Let me say this to start out! A-1 is Clean, Bright, Affordable, Secure, But did you know: They're Responsive and Knowledgeable I finally met Jenn in person after all the other communication. She' was helpful, courteous and Very Knowledgeable! Getting storage is easy, but try dealing with the staff at some of these other storage places can be a handful and then some! I just moved in to town and this place was recommended so I thought I would check it out. Great place, clean and very well maintained. The prices are very competitive and the employees are super nice and helpful. I highly recommend this storage facility.

I was only there less than a year and there was an $8/month increase for an already overpriced 5 x 10 unit (2016 rates are now $124 for a teeny unit). The people were nice but half of the carts don't fit in the elevator and are near impossible to maneuver. I already mentioned this to them and they said use the small cart...then while moving out, the girl walking the units said that there were no security cameras inside! Hi Suki, we find it necessary to make adjustments to our customers' rental rates from time to time, in order to keep up with the rising costs associated with providing top-notch service and a clean, secure facility. We know locating the smaller cart can be a challenge for the elevator, and because of this, we are actually in the process of upgrading the elevators on the property to make it easier for our tenants. This facility is well maintained and the two gals who run the office are very efficient, friendly and just overall offer AMAZING customer service. They decorate the front office, which is a nice touch and the grounds are really well maintained. I called asking about space on a Thursday and moved in the following Monday. Super helpful and a great facility!

This A1 Storage in La Mesa on Center Drive is the best of the best! The facility is kept very well lit, organized and clean. Tara and Kiara in the office are super friendly, professional, accommodating and have great customer service, they are always willing to help out and always available. You can tell they care about there storage units. It is easy to get to right off the freeway, which is good for me because I go there at least once a week. If I could give 10 stars I would!!

From the day I moved in, to the day I needed to move in to a smaller storage unit, Tara and Kiara have been exceptionally friendly, helpful and completely professional with any and all of my storage needs! Also, the facility is always well kept and maintained. Both office and grounds crew know how to run a successful storage location. I will absolutely recommend A-1 Self Storage at 8328 Center Dr to anyone I know.
