I had a great experience at this place! Gerren was the man who got me set up with my storage unit. He was very friendly and personable. He gave me a quick tour of my storage unit and even showed me one slightly smaller so I could see it and decide which was better for me. The place is clean and Gerren went over everything with me about the rules and contract details. Definitely a great place, I read the reviews of some of the other places and they didnt sound too appealing. I'm glad I could get a storage rental at this place... read more

Recently relocated from Jacksonville Florida to San Diego CA and had wonderful customer service experience, Gerren was great and would definitely recommed.
Business response:
Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we did, Dominic. Welcome to the beautiful city of San Diego!
My experience here has been wonderful. I feel the price is good for the area and the competition. I love you can use an app to get in and out of the gate. Sometimes it's annoying and doesn't link up but you do get a code as well. The app is nice because you don't have to get out of your car. You can also see your bill and other items. You are only given access to your specific area of storage and i think that is a nice extra layer of protection! The hours are only 6-6 hours which can be hard for some but i over all really li... read more

Courtney, thank you for taking the time to leave us a stellar review! For clarification for our consumers, it appears this review was intended for one of our South Bay locations. Our Kearny Mesa location's access hours are 6AM to 10 PM daily and our gates are code-only. We greatly appreciate you sharing your feedback and look forward to continuing to serve and support you while you're with us! Have an amazing day.
I love the experience renting a 5x5 storage unit with A1 storage Rosie was of great help over the telephone assigning me a good unit.
Business response:
Thanks for the kind words about our team, Emerso! We're glad we could help you find the perfect storage unit for your needs.
Gerren (Manager) was incredibly helpful, courteous, and a great source of information.
Business response:
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your storage experience with us, Bruce. We'll be sure to forward your kind words to Gerren!
Very bad experience yesterday. Was helping to store our daughters things as she moves for a work assignment and was time sensitive. When I got to A1 yesterday morning and unloaded onto carts, I found a sign that "the the only elevator for the building was out of service, but there are stairs in the back of the building and they are sorry for the inconvenience". Now I understand things break. But we have had a unit there for over a year. They have our email, we get bills. However there was NO notification that there was an el... read more
Visited 4 different storage places this Saturday. This was our second stop. We ended up coming back to this location because the lady at the front office Pinky was professional, good customer service and had great energy. The place is clean too.
Business response:
Don, reviews like this give us motivation and help us ensure we provide high-quality care!
Grace is amazing. She made the whole process of getting a storage unit so easy and took all the stress away. Very clean facility and convenient location!
Business response:
Nicole, thanks for your praise and kind comments about our team! We agree, Grace is great.
One of the best storage unit locations I've ever used! PROs: The front office is very well-stocked and clean. The staff workers are very respectful, knowledgeable, and efficient at their jobs. Renting a unit is very painless and you can even call before and have it held for free for 24 hours. You will have to buy a cylinder lock if you do not already have one, so prepare yourself they are a little pricey but you can use any standard cylinder lock from any storage unit and it should work. The storage site is very secure with ... read more
