Yes, had the same experience. We rented a storage unit (first month free) and about four months later there came about a $30 per month increase. The rent hike seemed unfair....but they had us over a barrel as we could not moved our stuff right away....so renter beware. They claimed the need for "periodic rate adjustment to offset the increasing costs." Customer service was so helpful and polite! Party assisted me in securing a unit and completing a the paperwork quickly and without hassle. Unit prices are better than the competition nearby that I looked into. Very clean property in an awesome location! Also, they offer a military discount, which is always appreciated.

Great customer service! Wish the units were better lighted... My storage is dark, I'll have up bring a flash light to find my stuff. I like their one month free special :-) all storage units have up have the same lock... I guess that's good.

Great!!! Outstanding customer service, great facilities and quick processing! I walked in because I was in the area and I have been in need of a storage unit. I expected the process to take a while so I afforded pretty much my whole afternoon. I had no idea I would be treated so nicely and walk out with a storage unit in less than 20 minutes. Linda helped me out and I guess she isn't at this location normally but it didn't really matter to me because she found me a great ground unit, gave me the keys and code and even set up... read more

This is the first time that I used A-1 to store my belongings. I have used others but I was amazed at the cleanliness of the facility when I was given a tour by Karen. Everyone that works here is cheerful and they actually seem like they legitimately enjoy their job and helping out the customer. I could sleep comfortable at night knowing my belongings were in a clean, safe, and secure area. I also like how there is so much space. Customer service: Karen looked after us and she was extremely friendly and efficient. She took the time to show us a range of options and clearly explained how everything worked. Security: The facility clearly has a very high level of security. There are cameras everywhere, along with visible human surveillance. Each facility gets its own lock (no easily picked or bolt cuttered padlocks. We're talking a brand new, double key tumbler lock. Excellent! I couldn't be more pleased with the service at this A1 location. Patty and Karen ALWAYS went the extra mile to make sure all my needs were taken care of. They accepted deliveries, transferred any paperwork that I needed for company verification over to me immediately, and were courteous and willing to always help. Service alone made me a repeat customer. I has 3 units. The facility is clean, safe, and very roomy for maneuverability. All around very pleased.

We had the most awesome experience with Elizabeth at A1 Self Storage! Not only was she very nice but also extremely helpful!! She helped us get a unit size that would best fit our needs!! Nick s. was right. I haven't had this storage unit that long and already they have emailed me a letter stating they are increasing my unit rate. The people here are polite but the tactics of nickeling and diming are the worst. I don't think I'm staying with them too much longer. I went with them because of the good deal I got. Sorry that it won't be enough to keep me.
