I found this storage company here on yelp and mentioned to this them. They failed to mention there was a yelp coupon offer though. Guess that's my bad. The small unit ended up costing about $70 a month. The people that work here are very nice but they failed to tell me when I signed up and made my first payment it's not on autopay. I was expected to make a payment every month. Which is fine but they need to inform the customers of this. Apparently you need to ask for an autopay form. A1 storage has been there for me through some very difficult times in my life! I have been using this location as my go-to storage facility off and on for the past 4 years! I love the location and the cleanliness and accessibility of the facility have been the stay factor for me! After searching and calling storage facilities all around San Diego, I finally found the perfect situation for me. From leaving messages to wrong numbers, I was starting to think maybe I should consider other options as I would only need to store my furniture for about a week or two. I've had a storage unit here for the past 4 years. Never have had a single issue, and the ladies are amazing and very helpful. Unlike some other storage facilities that do not provide a dumpster this one does, so if you need to throw stuff out you don't have to take it back with you. In these 4 years I've seen my rent go up quite a bit, but I also learned to just pay in advance and that way your old rate is honored. They also offer Military discounts.

What an amazing experience! I really didn't want to have to put my belongings into storage, but the A-1 staff team at the Mission Valley location made it so easy and pain free! They were very accommodating!

Storage is storage, but this A-1 is a great place. Lots of choices for unit size - and I've moved around quite a bit. It's clean and well-located, easy access off the 163 and the 8. And - not sure why - their prices are better than some of the other locations. I've been a tenant there for about 10 years.

I have rented storage units before and usually the person behind the counter is tired and burnt out from their jobs. And most storage units are dirty and not so organized. Well, at A1 I got top notch service form Kaela! She had a smile on her face, shook my hand and introduced herself! I initially asked to look at the 5x5 and as she showed it to me I was changing my mind to the 5x7. She was so prepared, she had the keys to show me other sizes in hand! Expect an increase of at least 20-30 dollars per year. Cannot really believe that thus mark-up is entirely cost driven and more about relying on people not wanting to find a new place and move there stuff again. Leaving this month.

I'm very disappointed with my experience at A1 Frazee road. I have a mild physical limitation, which normally doesn't present too many issues for me, but with this poorly designed and poorly run facility it was a different story. There are several minor inconveniences, such as the key pad being on the opposite side of the drivers seat, poor lighting inside, and uneven roads.
