I have been a client of A1 for 4 years. I have had a great experience. The facility is clean and well run and I especially appreciate the professionalism and courtesy of the staff - I especially Marisol. I had many boxes delivered to the office for my job and they would deliver them directly to my unit and I never had any problems. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a unit in Oakland.

Yep, I think it is the worst customer service in the bay areas too. Used to have a unit but not anymore. Changed to another better place than this one. Ha Ha Ha Ha..........

Don't rent this storage. It is the worst place for a storage. It's better to rent some at Alameda. It is better and clean also. It's real bad service also. And very expensive.

I just got my storage space and so far everything is great! Maribel was very helpful and nice. The facility is clean and I love the Kiosk concept for being able to do all transactions. Can't wait to use it. The key for the cart was odd but I was shocked when Maribel asked if I wanted to keep it while I go get more of my items and I could return it later. I didn't but I thought it was a great, trusting gesture.

One of the best storage facilities in the area! The A-1 Self Storage facility is easy to find from the freeway. The lady at the front desk was very friendly, knowledgable and fast. The facility is very clean and easy to find your way around.

After writing my initial review, I was contacted almost immediately by someone in the head office advising they would correct the problem with the packaging AND refund the $$ I spent on the replacement bags I had to buy last minute with the movers. I appreciated the great response time and customer service. Thanks!!!

I have used this storage facility for more then a year and I have never had any problems. The building and storage units are VERY clean. We have changed units several times (depending on our storage needs) and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

I was VERY happy to have my stuff stored here. I had originally reserved a spot at the High Street storage place on the corner, but as soon as I pulled up, I turned back around. That place looked darn-right creepy in the day time. I walked into A-1, got a decent rate on a good-sized space and was always happy to visit my stuff. No matter what the weather was like outside, the temp inside the facility was perfect. I made good use of the "gates open 'til 10pm" and always felt safe. Rude service, and if you're a few days late on a payment, expect a letter threatening to seize the contents of your locker. In addition, they're much more expensive than many other self-storage facilities. Advice: shop around, you'll likely find a better place and one that respects their customers.
